Somalia: National Action Plan for the Transition from an Informal to a Formal Economy Signed in Geneva
During the 113th International Labour Conference, held in Geneva from 2 to 13 June, the Tripartite Committee of the I.N.FORMA.L project officially presented an important tool for the economic and social development of Somalia: the National Action Plan (NAP) for the transition from an informal to a formal economy.

A survey on the informal economy in Somalia: looking for sustainable change
The survey carried out within the project “INFORMA.L. – Educate, Normate, TRAIN, Work. From informal to formal for inclusive growth, peace and social dialogue” AID 012590/03/0, financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by Nexus Emilia Romagna ETS and FESTU, examines the reality of small businesses in the fishing, small-scale trade and textile sectors of six federal states of Somalia and highlights the advantages and fundamental steps to be taken for the formalization of small businesses in these sectors.
