pursuant to and for the purposes of art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 679/2016

The NGO Nexus Emilia Romagna ETS with registered office in Bologna in via Marconi 69 and the Federation of Somali Trade Unions – FESTU with registered office in KM5, Bula Hubey, Wadajir District, Mogadishu, Somalia, as Joint Controllers of the processing of personal data (it is possible to view the joint controllership agreement by clicking HERE) We inform you that your personal data provided in order to participate in the photography competition (name, surname, address, email; photographs submitted; any other personal data provided voluntarily by participants including, for example, data relating to their profession or their photographic experiences) will be processed for the following purposes: management of registration for the competition and participation in it; evaluation of the photos submitted by the participant by the jury; publication of the winning photos on the competition website and on other communication channels; any communication and dissemination activities related to the project theme of the competition. The processing is therefore based on the need to fulfill the contract and on your consent to the dissemination of personal data.

The personal data of the participants in the photography competition will be processed by internal personnel authorised to process data; any data controllers (for example, web service providers); independent data controllers including the members of the jury of the photography competition and, where applicable, the financiers of the competition.

The personal data of the participants in the photo contest will be retained for the time necessary to pursue the purposes of the processing, except for a longer retention period required by law. For example, the photos provided by the participants could be retained for a longer period for archiving reasons or for historical-cultural purposes.

Your data will be used by the Joint Controllers for purposes related to their institutional purposes and may be disseminated, by virtue of your consent, via the internet, social networks and other historical-cultural communication and dissemination activities promoted by the Joint Controllers. The provision of personal data and consent is optional, but in the absence of this the Joint Controllers will not be able to allow you to participate in the competition.

As an interested party, you have the right to request access to the data and the processing and, in the cases provided for, the rectification, erasure and portability of the data. The interested party also has the right to request the limitation of the processing and to revoke the consent without prejudice to the validity of the data processing carried out by virtue of the consent previously given. As specified in the joint controllership agreement, the interested party may assert the rights indicated through a written request to the NGO Nexus Emilia-Romagna ETS (er.nexus@er.cgil.it) or to the Data Protection Officer designated by the latter, who can be contacted at the email address privacy.er@er.cgil.it

Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of the EU State in which you reside, where you work or where the violation occurred, which, for Italy, is the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data (www.garanteprivacy.it).
