Training aimed at exponents, members and representatives of civil society and community leaders.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cStrengthening the role of civil society and community leaders in promoting sustainable, equitable and inclusive development\u201d. So quotes the banner displayed in Mogadishu during training meetings aimed at exponents, members and representatives of civil society and community leaders, held from 18 to 20 May 2023.
\nThe meetings were attended by over 80 civil society actors and community leaders.
\nDays of exchange and sharing of ideas and opinions for the construction of sustainable, equitable and inclusive development paths in Somalia.
\nSeveral interrelated topics were discussed, such as: Poverty and the socio-economic benefits of formalizing the informal economy; active participation in the construction of peace paths; decent work and elimination of the exploitation of child labor and gender gap as fundamental elements for the stabilization of the country.
\nGood practices, benefits and socio-economic impacts of decent, inclusive and formal work were examined and proposed by all those present.
\nAn active participation of civil society in support of paths of change in the country, which passes from the institutions up to civil society.
\nFor an inclusive and dignified growth that lays the foundations in professional training and knowledge to arrive at the recognition of rights also thanks to the formalization of work.
\n\u201cAny sustainable, equitable and inclusive development cannot be achieved without an explicit commitment to gender equality, women's rights and their empowerment. Challenges and solutions must always maintain a gender vision\u201d concluded the Secretary General of FESTU, Omar Faruk Osman Nur.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t\t
